HCC Missions · Reaching Our World for Christ

Heritage Community Church is fully committed to seeing the Gospel spread throughout the world. If you would like more information about our glocal (global + local) effort to fulfill the mission or support a specific HCC effort, please contact us. Here are our current efforts...

Local: Change The World

Received weekly at the midpoint of our Sunday services, 100% of the funds support a local charity (South Central High School; The Soup Cafe, etc.). We encourage people to store up their loose change and prayerfully consider giving even more, to help make an impact in the Greater Bismarck metro area.

Adults give their CTW gifts to children who then take it forward to place in the offering box before themselves being dismissed to Children's Ministry.

Glocal: One Foot Project

One Foot Project was founded out of a prophetic call on HCC member Dan Szarkowski's heart.

The concept works this way: under the auspices of Open Bible Church's mission station Puente de Amistad in Tijuana, Mexico, the square-foot cost of building a house for a homeless family (screened and approved through PDA) is determined.

In turn, HCC members hold fundraisers that both bring a benefit to Bismarck-Mandan area residents and raise the cost of building materials and funds to defray costs for each team member to travel to Mexico.

Since its inception, God has utilized HCC members' anointings, talents, blood, sweat, and prayerful tears to build five (5) homes in Tijuana through the ministry of One Foot Project. In addition to building a home, on every OFP mission, there is little-to-no downtime as team members put down their tools, change hats, then head to prisons, orphanages, and addiction recovery centers to share the gospel and just plain love on people with the great love of God they've experienced, themselves. Glory to His Name and good for them!

Next OFP Mission: Spring 2021!

For more information about, or to learn how you can participate in, One Foot Project, feel free to contact coordinator Dan Szarkowski by phone at 701-400-9758, or by email hcc.bisman@gmail.com.

Global: The Hunsaker Family; Directors, Puente de Amistad

Travis and Heather Hunsaker minister as directors of Puente de Amistad (Bridge of Friendship) in Tijuana, Mexico. Puente is a Christ-centered short-term mission base where visiting groups and individuals stay during their time of ministry in Tijuana. Visiting team members partner with local ministry workers to minister in orphanages, host neighborhood VBS programs, serve at men's drug and alcohol rehabs, and feed the homeless in downtown Tijuana. They also mobilize teams and individuals for projects such as building homes for the needy.

HCC directly - and in partnership with other churches and Open Bible's Global Missions department - helps the Hunsakers' personal support to remain on the international field.

To support them through the auspices of Heritage Community Church, you can do so by placing a check in our offering box located on the information table at the back of the church sanctuary; by mail (500 Remington Avenue 58503); or online if you prefer.

Please contact our Church Administrator Brooke Ables to set up online giving at 701-250-6759.
