Sunday - 10AM Worship Service

The Great Commission, given us by Jesus, is clear: our preaching of the gospel aims to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15).

For this reason, it is why we emphasize Jesus' invitation to go beyond making a decision about Him - Who He is and what He did on the cross and that Father God raised Him from the dead and our confession of that. Beyond being saved from our sins, the LORD invites us to Himself, living our lives yielded to Him ()Matthew 11:25-30).

Beyond our salvation is the rest of life we're given to steward here on earth, and Jesus' call to make disciples begins with being His disciples: learning to think as our Master thinks, to do the works our Master does.

HCC is dedicated to accomplishing that in a variety of ways:

  • Wellspring Groups
The core curriculum used is the coursework from INSTE Global Bible College. INSTE - the Institute of Theology by Extension - is a two-level, distance learning and discipleship experience offered both online and in local church settings. The coursework is college-level, but enrollment is also available to high school students aged 16 and older.
~ Level I: four (4) semesters of 101-level Bible college classes (Discipleship, Doctrine, Old Testament Survey & New Testament Survey). Our senior pastor Chuck Loftis has oft been quoted as saying, "Level I INSTE organizes students in the fundamentals and practices of our faith, putting a hem on its frayed edges. Every Christian would benefit from enrolling!"
~ Level II: two-four (2-4) years of general or ministry-specific leadership education/training/mentoring while earning a certificate, diploma, or degree.
The immediate benefits of INSTE are the organized, formal biblical education offered at a fraction of conventional tuition costs, not to mention NOT having to relocate hundreds or even thousands of miles away to attend college! INSTE can be taken for college credit or audit if one simply wants the education without the pressure of grades. • Christian Education Classes
Whether in a formal midweek setting in the sanctuary of our church facility or in the casual settings of Bible studies held in members' homes (for those living outside south-central North Dakota: make sure to ask about whether attendance is available online, too), HCC will offer Christian education that builds up the body of Christ, growing in grace and knowledge of Him.

~ Current C.E. class: "Concerning the End Times" led by Chuck Loftis. This 10-week class will be held Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in the sanctuary of our church facility. A class that will seem straight out of today's headlines, Chuck will be addressing key issues and answering general questions many Christians have about current events and eschatology (the study of end things).
