Heritage Community Church Ministry Team
Whether in the pulpit, the board room, the platform, the classroom, the foyer, or their living rooms, the HCC ministry team will do their best to help you embrace and grow in being a part of God's family!
An innovative thinker, maker, author of two books, and entrpreneur, Jordan Loftis serves HCC as a treacher, worship team percussionist, and pastoral caregiver.
Raised in both Dakotas, he and his wife Joelle lived out-of-state for a number of years before returning to Bismarck in 2017 to raise their family. A father to three children (including twins!), he is working hard to lead a household that makes the Bible its standard and guide for daily life.
With degrees in Theology and Philosophy from the University of Sioux of Falls, Jordan is an excellent Bible teacher. Through conferences, college lectures, the pulpit, and the classroom, his keen insights into scripture have spurred thousands of Christians to love and good works.
You can join in with over 20,000 others to use his provocative and practical teaching at Short Daily Devotions (www.shortdailydevotions.com)
Brooke Ables - along with her husband Randy and children - moved to Bismarck and became members of HCC in autumn 2014.
In summer 2019, she was appointed the church's official Secretary/Treasurer and hired as Administrator.
Serving with gladness and meekness and willingness is what Brooke is all about. If you need to contact the church office during the week, she will likely be the one answering your call or email. If she's not available at the moment? She'll get right back to you as soon as possible!
An indispensable member of our team, Brooke's heart for the Lord comes through in everything she does for HCC.
Hospitality Ministries Director
Jessie and her husband, Dan, began attending HCC in 2001. Shortly thereafter, Jessie began using her gifts and abilities in ministry.
A warm and hospitable person, herself, Jessie leads a hospitable team that is sure to make you feel warmly welcomed as soon as you enter the door for our weekend services!
Through her and the team's efforts, you'll be greeted then directed where to go next: whether to check-in your children for children's ministry that'll take place in about a half-hour after your arrival; or to the sanctuary to find a seat and make yourself comfortable; or, first, stopping by our drink station for a cup of fresh-brewed Mighty Mo from the Mighty Missouri Coffee Company right here in Bismarck.
In any case, after you are seated, if there is anything Jessie and her team can do for you, ask anyone nearby for help, and they'll summon a team member to help!
Women's Ministry Director
Kimberly Bearsheart grew up in north-central South Dakota, eventually making her way to Bismarck, North Dakota in 1990.
She began attending HCC in 2009 and gave her heart to Jesus and was baptized in 2011. A Registered Nurse, Kimberly employs her vital skills at Mid Dakota Clinic. She is mother to an adult daughter and son who also live in Bismarck.
Her greatest passion is for women to build a lasting relationship with the Lord our Father. It is her aim to train women in the daily practices that produce that!
Men's Ministry Director
Joe Bearsheart is 100% a man's man. Period. But - more importantly - he's also a godly man, and has a heart the size of a bear's for the things of God!
Joe has earned his Level 1 Certificate from INSTE Global Bible College and recently enrolled in its Level 2 Degree studies.
When coupling that with his extensive background in athletics and adventure, Joe knows how to challenge men to pursue a friendship with the LORD wholeheartedly!
Married to his wife, Kimberly, for nine years, Joe is an expert chef, enjoys time in the outdoors, and is an avid motorcyclist.

TRUTH Kids Children's Ministry Director
CJ Schindler was born in beautiful Maine and raised in the picturesque Canadian province of New Brunswick.
In 2000, a job transfer brought her to North Dakota where she immediately felt at home and knew God had brought her here for a reason. She began attending Heritage Community Church that fall and shortly thereafter began volunteer teaching in children's ministry.
Her lifelong love of children and seeing them grow in the Lord and the church's dedication to the same were a perfect fit!
In her spare time, CJ loves to spend time decorating, entertaining friends, and most of all spending time with her daughter, Camille.
The Reverend Chuck Loftis
Chuck Loftis serves as HCC's founder and Senior Pastor.
In vocational ministry since March 1985, Loftis is a ministerial entrepreneur whose primary call for nearly 30 of those years has been to start churches from scratch and to lead turnarounds in churches needing health.
He was first credentialed in 1990 with Open Bible Churches and was ordained in 1993.
An alumnus of New Hope Christian College who majored in Pastoral Studies, Loftis has served on the Board of Directors of NHCC (www.newhope.edu) and INSTE Global Bible College (www.inste.org). Chuck served as the Executive Director of Mountain Plains Region of Open Bible Churches (2010-2014) and as a member of the movement's national Board of Directors (2005-2014).
He is an apt biblical teacher whose aim is to encourage Christians to grow in their friendship with the LORD and become masterful in scripture's many "one-anothers."
Chuck has been happily married for 34 years to his wife, Kelly. Together, they raised two boys into men who are now establishing their own households with their respective, wonderful wives. Chuck and Kelly are thrilled to also call themselves grandparents to three marvelous grandchildren.
