HCC belongs to the Family of Open Bible Churches
Founded in 1935, and with roots in the Pentecostal revivals of the early 20th Century, Open Bible Churches is an association of congregations and ministers whose global mission is to make disciples, develop leaders, and plant churches.
With over 1,000 churches worldwide and ministers and missionaries serving in 46 nations, Open Bible is doing her part to expand and establish God's kingdom in people's hearts.
Open Bible's premise is that we are more effective in fulfilling our mission by collaborating together than by functioning as disconnected islands. We also enjoy open fellowship, and collaboration on mission, with many other organizations' local churches.
Our name reflects our foundation. A closed Bible is not just unused: it's useless and powerless to transform its students' lives. Hence, our name: Open Bible Churches. We embrace the Bible as God’s Word and seek to build who we are, what we believe, and what we do on the Bible, which must be opened and studied in order to discover and apply God's truths.
Jesus commanded His followers to be the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13), so we desire to relationally authenticate what we believe. Our delight is to honor the Lord God, follow Jesus Christ, and allow the Holy Spirit to empower and guide us in our service.
